Athletics - Athletic programs are used as the carrot to keep students involved in the day-to-day activities designed to develop our students into well-rounded individuals.

Backfield in Motion utilizes experienced coaches and volunteers to teach all participants sound technique and overall sports awareness.  Backfield in Motion builds confidence in our participants by teaching position-specific technique, game knowledge and work ethic as they try out for their respective school teams.

Backfield in Motion affords participants an opportunity to play in organized sports leagues that teach the rules of the game, good sportsmanship, teamwork, competiveness and commitment, all the while encompassing the close-knit family atmosphere.  Our participants are then encouraged to put what they have learned into play while competing with other like-minded surrounding Middle Tennessee sports leagues.

Coaching Staff...

The coaching staff at Backfield in Motion is experienced and prepared!

Every coach has playing and coaching experience, has attended or graduated from college, and is chosen based on his own character and merit.

Through sports, our coaches help kids understand life lessons, like what it means to succeed and fail, and how to deal with setbacks and frustrations.  Our coaches build personal relationships with Backfield in Motion youth that hopefully will lead to continued participation in our programs and activities and will keep the boys on a positive path, away from the temptations of the street.
